I did a lot of research on radar detectors after my first Whistler was stolen and came back to Whistler.

Acts up when placed in certain modes, sometimes detects, sometimes doesn’t. When placed along side my other units, does not always detect as they do.
Periscope feature is nice.
Buy something else.

I ended up returning this after i had exchanged it for another! Not a good readar detector! not user freindly but it was always giving false alerts and no warning on real alerts! Just a bad unit all the way around!

I don’t know much about it, apparently it’s working well though. I got it for my g/f’s birthday, and she hasn’t gotten pulled over yet. She tells me that it goes off every once in a while when cops are around, so it sounds like it’s doing it’s job.

i bought the laser/radar detector for a long road trip i was taking. it did the job. the directions are easy to follow on the set up and you learn very quickly of what each sound means. it is user friendly. everyone that drove was able to understand the alerts too. i would recommend this detector for anyone, especially for individuals that are new to radar/laser detectors.
