The 2027 Audi Q4 e-tron is the mid-cycle facelift of the second-generation model, built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform. It comes in two body styles - a conventional SUV (4,588 mm) and the lower-roofline Sportback - sharing the same 2,764 mm wheelbase and up to 1,487 litres of cargo space with the rear seats folded.
Powertrain options: The entry-level 35 e-tron uses a 63 kWh battery and a single rear motor producing 170 hp, good for 451 km WLTP. The 45 e-tron steps up to 282 hp and the 82 kWh pack, reaching 530 km (SUV) or 592 km (Sportback) - the latter figure placing it among the most efficient compact electric crossovers in this segment. The top 55 e-tron quattro adds an axle-mounted front motor for 335 hp total and all-wheel drive, with 560 km of range and a 0–100 km/h time of 5.4 seconds.
Charging: The 82 kWh variants charge at up to 185 kW DC, taking the battery from 10% to 80% in 27 minutes and recovering 180 km of range in just 10 minutes.
New feature - V2L bidirectional charging: The Q4 e-tron is the first Audi EV with vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality. A 230V / 2.3 kW socket is built into the boot, and an external adapter on the side port delivers up to 3.6 kW. Buyers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland also get vehicle-to-home (V2H) capability, allowing the car to power household circuits. Towing capacity on the AWD version increases by 400 kg to 1,800 kg.
Interior: The dashboard is redesigned around a single curved unit combining an 11.9” virtual cockpit and 12.8” infotainment display. Physical climate controls are gone - all HVAC is managed through the touchscreen. Optional additions include a 12” front-passenger display (the largest ever offered in an Audi), an AR head-up display, a ChatGPT-enabled voice assistant, and dual wireless charging pads.
European order books open June 2026. Starting price in Germany is €47,500 for the SUV with the 63 kWh battery; the Sportback adds €1,950 to each variant.
