The Hyundai Ioniq V is a China-exclusive large electric sedan, revealed in April 2026. It is based on the Venus concept and carries over the concept’s silhouette, proportions, and split lighting signature almost unchanged into production — an unusual level of concept fidelity.
The exterior is defined by a two-tier lighting layout: narrow daytime running light strips sit at the top of the front fascia, with the main headlights positioned below. At the rear, a single thin LED strip runs the full width of the car.
The interior centres on a 27-inch horizontal tablet that spans the entire dashboard.
At 4,900 mm in length with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, the Ioniq V sits in the large sedan segment. The battery is supplied by CATL; powertrain specifications, range, and pricing have not yet been disclosed.
The Ioniq V will be produced at the Beijing Hyundai plant. It is the first in a planned series of China-specific Ioniq sub-brand models, with a crossover based on the Earth concept expected to follow.
