Production of the Kia K3 has started at the ADM Jizzakh plant in Uzbekistan. The K3 is the global successor to the Kia Rio — full manufacturing cycle, capacity up to 25,000 units/year with room to expand to 40,000.

Powertrain: Two naturally-aspirated petrol options:

  • 1.4L, 100 hp, MT
  • 1.6L, 123 hp, MT or 6-speed AT

Exterior: Fastback body, “fang” headlights — design identical to other-market versions

Interior: Combined instrument cluster and multimedia panel, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting

Tech: AEB, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist

Pricing for the Uzbekistan market will be announced in May.
