Toyota has released details of the updated Yaris Cross, due in European showrooms from spring-summer 2026. The Yaris Cross is one of Toyota’s strongest-selling models in Europe, where the self-charging hybrid segment has grown significantly since the car’s 2021 launch.
Powertrain — unchanged. The 1.5-litre three-cylinder hybrid paired with an e-CVT continues in two forms: front-wheel drive producing 116 hp, and the AWD-i all-wheel drive system producing 130 hp. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 4.4–5.1 litres per 100 km WLTP, depending on variant.
Exterior — the most visible change is a new front grille with body-coloured honeycomb mesh inserts, matching the design language introduced on the updated Yaris and the C-HR. The headlight clusters have been revised, and the lower bumper has a cleaner, flatter graphic. Toyota describes the direction as “aligning the Yaris Cross with the broader family.”
Interior — revised seat fabrics, new ambient lighting, and new trim inlays. The Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system has been updated.
Technology — the Toyota T-Mate driver assistance bundle has been expanded. It now includes a more capable version of the pre-collision system and improved lane-tracing assist. The update aligns the Yaris Cross with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 specifications.
Pricing has not been announced. The outgoing Yaris Cross starts at €24,300 in Europe.
